Tati Cotliar and Julia Saner stars in the latest Mulberry Autumn/Winter 2011/2012 ad campaign shot by Tim Walker. I love the creative direction in this one; strong theme and very cohesive images that brought out the few stronger looks from the Mulberry Autumn/Winter 2011/2012 collection.
And just like most brands these days, Mulberry has a video ad campaign -also shot by Tim Walker- to go along with these images.
As much as I like this ad campaign, the same cannot be said for the actual collection. Sorry Emma Hill. The pieces would do well as separates but as whole outfits; it just needs a little more oomph. It was just not excitable but that’s what you would expect from a heritage brand. Mulberry fans would love it though.
The collection delved into the rich English heritage inspired by the likes of Roald Dahl‘s Fantastic Mr. Fox. Much emphasis was placed on outerwear which could bode well for sales together with updates on the Mulberry family of bags. Check out the update on the Tillie and the all-new Polly Push Lock tote as well as the new Carter Double Handle bag, now with a double postman’s lock closure. I think they’re going to be hits. All bags are available now at the Mulberry online store and Net-A-Porter. Here are some looks from the Mulberry Autumn/Winter 2011/2012 collection.
Kirsten Dunst and Rebecca Hall carrying the Carter and Taylor respectively. Loving them both.
