The final Uniqlo +J Fall/Winter 2011/2012 ad campaign has been unveiled. After just three short years, Uniqlo +J collaboration, which Jil Sander herself collaborated in, will be coming to an end with this final Fall/Winter 2011 collection. Uniqlo +J has been about luxury minimalist basic wear showcasing the oh-so-familiar Jil Sander aesthetic at affordable price points. Fans should not be disheartened as there is still the relatively new Jil Sander Navy diffusion line to look forward to. Into its second collection come this fall, Jil Sander Navy is a lower-priced line that is targeted at the more casual and younger customer, priced at $125 for a shirt to $795 for a coat. Not too bad I would say. Quite unlike Uniqlo +J, where basic wear is the main focus and the colours more muted, Jil Sander Navy will be your go-to place if you are looking for affordable Jil Sander. It will essentially be what Marc By Marc Jacobs is to Marc Jacobs or what T By Alexander Wang is to Alexander Wang; or another money-making avenue if you will.
