Asia’s Next Top Model | Deadline Extended to 21 May 2012

Asia's Next Top Model

Asia’s Next Top Model is an adaptation of the original America’s Next Top Model, the reality tv show where aspiring models compete for the title of Next Top Model along with the opportunity to kick start their modeling careers. Likewise, the winner of Asia’s Next Top Model will walk away with a contract with a major modeling agency (yet to be named) and a cover shoot and fashion spread in Her World magazine. The show is set to be hosted by none other than the multi-talented Nadya Hutagalung.

In Asia, the franchise has landed in Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines and China and is currently under license in over 100 markets around the world with 20 local versions in production.

Asia’s Next Top Model is also vastly similar to another reality tv show Supermodel Me where 12 aspiring models of Asian descent compete for a cash prize and a contract with a top modeling agency. Which begs the question, do we really need another modeling reality tv show? I get it; more opportunities for aspiring models to make a name for themselves. But what are the odds? Well maybe it makes for good reality tv?

Nevertheless, females aged 18 – 27 years old, of Asian descent and currently residing in Asia or have a permanent address in any of the Asian countries, who speak and understand English will be eligible to sign up for Asia’s Next Top Model. If you think you have what it takes or know someone who does, head on down to to apply now! The application deadline has been extended to 21 May 2012 6pm (GMT + 8) Singapore time.
