Here’s a Year in Review of one of my favourite and probably the most tech-savvy brand out there now, Burberry. Check out snippets of its element-filled fashion shows including extensive shots of its most recent Spring/Summer 2013 show, stylish ad campaigns featuring Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Gabriella Wilde, Jourdan Dunn, and Cara Delevingne among others, behind-the-scenes footage of its stores and production facilities, as well as its recently launched timepiece, The Britain.

Burberry has unveiled its Autumn/Winter 2011 Ad Campaign for the month of October. Starring usual suspects Jourdan Dunn, Cara Delevingne, Edie Campbell, Thomas Penfound, Rob Pryor and Johnny George, the Burberry Autumn/Winter 2011 Ad Campaign October edition follows a Winter Storms theme in a black and white colour palette. In addition, Burberry has also released images of its Autumn/Winter 2011 Eveningwear collection. While Burberry is good at all other areas and has its fair share of celebrities donning its gowns for red carpet events, it is still a relatively small player when it comes to eveningwear –being mostly known for its heritage and of course its evergreen trench. That is one aspect I would like to see Burberry push for –the eveningwear market. Check out the Burberry Autumn/Winter 2011 Eveningwear collection below.

Burberry Body | The Bottle Release

Burberry has just released images of Burberry Body, The Bottle and I must say The Bottle is unlike any other. It is a multi-faceted, iconic glass bottle with rose gold engraved check and made very slim such that the rose gold refracts the light and filters the rose gold colour throughout the bottle. The jewel-like design reflects the multi-faceted dimensions and layers of the Burberry brand. Interesting.

Burberry Body will be released on September 1st but Burberry Facebook fans will be able to exclusively sample the new Burberry Body fragrance. Burberry has developed a custom-made application allowing exclusive sampling directly via the brand’s Facebook page. The app also features exclusive content that will be continuously updated as soon as new content becomes available. An incredible initiative indeed. Just go to the Burberry Facebook Page, ‘like’ it and sign up to receive your sample of Burberry Body before the launch. It is also noted that Burberry has over 7.6 million Facebook fans, the largest Facebook fan page of any luxury fashion brand. Check out images of Burberry Body, The Bottle below.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley | Burberry Body

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has been announced as the new face or rather body of Burberry Body, Burberry‘s newest fragrance. Dubbed as the most sensual women’s fragrance to date, the Burberry Body ad campaign directed by Christopher Bailey features Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wearing only a rose gold satin trench coat and the Burberry scent. (Kind of reminds you of the Sophie Dahl for Yves Saint Laurent Opium ads back in 2000 when Tom Ford was at the helm.) Of course, this was done more tastefully; sensuous but just within perimeters.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley will also be the first of a series of ‘Burberry bodies’ that will be shot by Mario Testino in the years to come. Another brilliant idea! A series of iconic women featured to mark a Burberry Body‘s presence in the increasingly saturated fragrance market that will be sustained in the long run.

Burberry Body launches in over 150 countries from 1 September 2011. More details to come soon.

Shia and Rosie were spotted at the Milwaukee set of Transformers 3. First look at the new on-screen couple together. What do you think? Can she pull it off other than being hot eye candy? Definitely looking very intense here.
